About Mehandipur Balaji Hanuman Temple
Mehandipur Balaji temple is located in Dausa district of Rajasthan, 255 km away from Delhi. There are three main deities of the temple- Lord Hanuman, Pret Raj (The King of spirits), Bhairav.
Thousands of devotees flock this temple every day not just
to be penitent, but to get their loved ones relived of evil spirits and ghosts.
Some even say that this holy place is bestowed with such power that it could
turn atheistic to a theist.
Balaji temple at Mehandipur in Rajasthan is one such place.
It is believed that the deity in this temple has divine power to cure a person
possessed with evil spirit. Hundreds of 'Sankatwalas', as the possessed people
are referred to in local lingo, throng to the temple every day to offer prayers
and have 'darshan'.
This shrine has three deities who are worshipped: Balaji
(Lord Hanuman), Pret Raj (The King of spirits), Bhairav. The idol inside which
is over more than 1000 years old was never created by an artist, it is believed
to have self-appeared. But, the temple around it was built in the 20th century.
Legend says that this temple was bestowed with divine powers to cure people possessed
with evil spirits and contained by black magic.
Previously, the area of the temple was a dense forest where the ancestors of Shri Mahant Ji started worshipping Balaji. According to the story, the three deities came in a dream of Shri Mahant Ji, and he heard a voice ordering him to be ready for serving his duty. Suddenly, Lord Balaji appeared before him and ordered: "Take duty of serving me". After this incident, they started worshipping Lord Hanuman here.

Now people suffering from malignant spirits and black magic
or spell get their relief when they make an appeal for relief to Shri Bhairav
ji and Shri Pret Raj Sarkar who holds his court and awards punishment to the
malignant spirits, ghosts, goblins, ghouls, evil eyed witches etc.Shrine of
Balaji, Court of Pret Raja, Pooja griha, Bhairav ji temple and Ram Darbar are
some of the spots worth seeing here.
One can witness people going through various physical
therapies like keeping heavy stones on their body , on arms, legs and chest ,
to ease their pain. There are others who inhale the smoke that fumes out of the
sweet Patasa's kept on smoldering cowpats. The ones with serious case of spirit
possession, who tends to get violent, are even shackled in chains within the
temple premises.
No Prasad in Temple
Mandir or temples are often known for prasads, but Mehendipur Balaji Temple this is a place where no prasad is offered. As you step on the premises of the temple, the petty shopkeepers try to sell prasad. You have to take that black colour ball as it is considered unlucky to refuse them. While it is not meant to be eaten, you have to throw it into the fire. Strange no?
Believe or not, its upon on you...............................
